My name is James
I am a British born writer who now lives in Greece.
I have been running a blog about living in Greece for many years now, but I have also been writing novels and travel books and publishing them with Rousseau Collins.
Wanting an outlet for my more general thoughts on writing and a place to express my written thoughts about almost anything, I came up with ‘Writing Thoughts.’ That’s what I am doing here: writing down my thoughts and posting my thoughts about writing.
I was born in Romney Marsh, Kent, and, after growing up slightly, I moved about the country before becoming involved in writing all kinds of things from full-length stage musicals, other musical pieces, cabaret material and theatre business plans.
In 2002, my husband and I moved to Greece where we have been working and writing ever since. Living here gives me the peace and quiet I need to attend to my creative writing and, since arriving on the small, beautiful island of Symi, I have published ten books.
Symi 85600 – Thoughts from a Greek island
Carry on up the Kali Strata – More thoughts from a Greek island
Village View – Further thoughts from a Greek island
The Saddling – mystery-thriller (due for publication, April 2017)
Remotely – comedy
Lonely House – horror
The Judas Inheritance – horror (filmed as the ‘The 13th’)
